Jenna Lawson is a research associate at Imperial College London, with a passion for protecting the fragile biodiversity of our planet. She received her Ph.D. in 2021 for her research using bioacoustics to determine the distribution of the spider monkey in the Tropical Rainforest of the Osa Peninsula. Her thesis reveals how building a road through the jungle will affect the survival of the spider monkey.

Jenna has worked on conservation projects in the UK, Peru, Fiji, and Costa Rica. In addition to her research activities, Jenna is actively involved in wildlife activism both in the UK and overseas, to help people to understand and act on the ecological crisis that faces humanity. She is thrilled to join the Board of Directors of BioSur-Lands for Biological Diversity.
